Description

Tarou's death had a huge impact on the village, but none can compare their's to the impact it had on his son.
For Yuki it wasn't just the loss of an inspirational figure - it was the loss of a friend, a father, and a mentor.
For the first time, Yuki experienced loss - the kind of void one cannot simply fill and make better, a new kind,
a kind that finds a way deep inside and picks away at you until you rot away - as a shadow of who you used to be.
Additionally - Yuki and Akihiko had a rather heated argument before he left - leading to a falling out between them.

For nearly the entire first year Yuki didn't speak to anyone - spending the entire time locked up in his chambers.
Though his sister and mother would enter, bringing him food, tea, or just to try and speak with him - It was to no avail,
he would remain fixated on clan papers, or simply staring into nothing - seeing right through them, even if they were face-to-face.
Despite this - his mother would come in each morning and each night to bring him meals - even if he would barely touch them,
to speak with him - not expecting a response, and to attempt to comfort him - despite not expecting any success.
It was not until the end of the year that he approached his mother - Making direct eye contact with her for the first time,
"Show me where father kept the Yōkai Kinjutsu Scrolls..." Shocked, his mother initially persisted that he didn't read them,
but after seeing his fierce determination to acquire them, she reluctantly gave him access to the Kitsune Vault.

Yuki would take many scrolls to his chambers, and within a few weeks - had read everything within the confines of the vault,
from Clan myths and legends, to historical documents, and Technique scrolls - Making him thoroughly educated on his Clan.
From here - he began his training as a Yōkai warrior - Doing numerous solo exercises - and partner exercises with Fūko.

Over the course of the second year Yuki underwent rapid growth - both physically, and mentally - Greatly improving his abilities.
Before this year his abilities were average - but by the time the year had ended, Yuki was more than twice as strong as before,
considerably at the strongest point a Chūnin could attain (maxed Stats for his cap) - A tremendous achievement for someone of Yuki's age.

Since he became the Clan Leader - He has pushed the Kitsune to the highest authority possible, and establishing their position as the top clan.
He has found himself not fond of the Asukai and supporters to their clan, having learned the atrocities they brought upon his family and forefathers.

Upon Akihiko's return - Yuki became quite bitter - seeing Akihiko's leave as not only turning his back on the village, but turning his back on family.
With Akihiko around - Yuki stepped up his game, extending the time he was training each day - No longer would he sit in the shadows of his siblings.
Akihiko returned to the compound once to speak with his mother - Which led to another heated argument about loyalty and honor,
the result of this was Akihiko leaving the Clan - For the benefit of Yuki, who became enraged with the very sight of a 'traitor' like him.

All in all - After three years of intense training, mourning, jealousy of his brother's success, and clan tension - Yuki has become a hardened young man.
While his light-hearted personality appears in rare instances - Only his closest allies see him smile, his stone-cold eyes and dominant presence overshadow it.
Yuki has transformed from a child who had gone unnoticed into a young man who strikes fear into the hearts of others - Someone who shouldn't be under estimated.

F
ūko as well has grown - similarly to Yuki. After Totorou's death - his Ancient Line gene was passed on to Fūko - altering his breed to an Ōkina-kiba Kitsune,
as such - He is much larger than before, having grown more than 25CM above his former breed. His fur has also become more coarse and rugged than before.
More importantly than the obvious physical changes however are the personality changes - And the change in his relationship with Yuki.

While Fūko still hates all humans - especially non-Kitsune (as he considers them a filthy, or "lesser" breed) - He's not as outwardly antagonistic,
additionally - rather than constantly reprimanding Yuki for his behavior - he is now often standing up for him, supporting him, or complimenting his efforts.
Though the two were close before - Now they see fully eye to eye, understanding each others views - And as such, can fully support each other.
Through Special Training, the two have a greater sense of compatibility than your average Kitsune (attainable via Yōkai Warrior Specialty).

The two have come far in such a short time - What fate awaits them now? Only time will tell.
